Webroot SecureAnywhere Internet Security Plus 2013 is a comprehensive security suite, packed with essential features and functionality.
This starts with a quick and hassle-free installation. There's no insistence on removing "incompatible" products, no need to manually update the antivirus database or run scans yourself: the program quickly searches for and removes any existing threats, before setting itself up and running quietly in the background (you don't even have to reboot).
When you do need to launch the program or check some setting, there's no bulky, flashy interface to navigate, either. The suite's functions are sensibly organised into multiple tabs, and even new users will generally find everything they need in a click or two.
And yet, despite this apparent simplicity, Webroot SecureAnywhere Internet Security Plus 2013 manages to squeeze in a great deal of powerful features. There's an accurate core antivirus engine; smart behaviour monitoring; a highly configurable firewall; antiphishing and identity theft protection; a password manager, Facebook and Twitter protection and more.
You also now get mobile protection for iPhone, iPad and Android devices. Not bad, especially when you consider that the $59.99 list price already covers up to 3 devices for a year. You can protect a combination of PCs, Macs, Android and iOS devices, using a single license.
Best of all, though, is that Webroot SecureAnywhere Internet Security Plus 2013 manages to deliver all this functionality while also having the absolute minimum impact on your system performance. PassMark's April 2013 Consumer Security Products report is a great example: the company benchmarked PCs after installing 14 different suites, and Webroot Internet Security topped the list by a huge margin.
